Australian boy get Miss Universe dream date...

With his high school formal looming over the horizon, 17-year old Daniel Dibley knew exactly what he wanted to do. Setting his sights high, the Bahthurst High School student wrote a note to Jennifer Hawkins, the 2004 Miss Universe and Australia's best known beauty queen. Much to his surprise Hawkins accepted his invitation. But due to overwhelming publicity of the date and not wanting the media onslaught to ruin the end-of-year dance for the rest of the students, Hawkins had to unfotrunatley pull out. She instead visited Dibley at school for a private lunch date and address the school assembly. " I didn't want you guys to think I didn't want to come to the formal ( dance)," Hawkins, now a television presenter, told the assembly. "I did. It just became too big. I just wanted a low-key thing." You can read more about it here.
